Map Actions: Locate, Search Places, and Reset View

Feature Overview

The map displays device positions, tracks, alert points, and geofences. With map operations, you can locate, compare, and review issues more efficiently.

Steps

  1. After selecting a device, the map will move near it if the device has valid position data.
  2. Use zoom controls to adjust the view so you can inspect local details or the full distribution.
  3. Search for an address or place to compare a business location with the device point or find a target area.
  4. If the map becomes cluttered or over-zoomed, use reset view to return to a more suitable overall view.

Common Scenarios

  • Fast patrol checks across large device fleets
  • Quickly locating a target area when an exception occurs
  • Comparing business regions with device positions

FAQ

Q: What if an address cannot be found?
A: Try a more complete address description, such as city plus street or landmark. If it still fails, the network or map service may be involved. Try again later.
