Group Management: Create, Rename, Transfer, and Delete

Feature Overview

Groups organize devices by business, project, or region. Group management supports creating, renaming, and deleting groups, and transferring devices to another group in batches.

Steps

  1. Enter group management and load the group list.
  2. To create a group, click the create button, enter the group name, and confirm.
  3. To rename a group, choose the group, run rename, and save.
  4. To review devices in a group, select the group and load the device list, then filter by device ID if needed.
  5. To transfer devices in batches, select the devices, choose transfer, and confirm the target group.

Recommendations

  • Use a consistent naming rule, such as region, project, or customer, so collaboration and handover are easier.
  • Ungrouped is a common initial state. It is best to complete group planning soon after rollout.

Q: Why does the page say "Please select a device first" during transfer?
A: At least one device must be selected in the list before a batch transfer can be executed.
